June 10. 2021. 2021/HN/158 High Court of Zambia Right to assembly; right to vote The High Court of Zambia held that the ban on campaign rallies during the public health emergency even during the campaign period was constitutional. The claimant attacked the decision of the Electoral Commission of Zambia banning all campaign rallies during the public health emergency even shortly before the forthcoming legislative elections in Zambia. The High Court held that the measure was reasonable and necessary for the protection of life; moreover, not the campaign, just the campaign rallies were suspended by the Electoral Authority. Therefore, the claim was dismissed.     https://www.covid19litigation.org/case-index/zambia-high-court-zambia-2021hn158-2021-06-10
