February 22. 2022.   Supreme Court of Puerto Rico   The Supreme Court of Puerto Rico held that the restrictive measures adopted by the Government to combat the Covid-19 pandemic were constitutional. Claimants considered that the Government of Puerto Rico overstepped its constitutional margin of movement when it enacted far-reaching restrictions of fundamental rights during the public health emergency. The Court of Appeal upheld several prongs of the claim, however, the Government turned to the Supreme Court.
