The Constitutional Court held that the lack of independent supervisory mechanism; the lack of right to opt out; and the lack of clarity regarding providing access to this information for the public health authorities amounts to unconstitutionality especially in the special post-Covid context. As a consequence, the legislation was ordered to amend the relevant provisions within 3 years of the publication of this judgment.       https://www.leetsai.com/ltp-special-column/the-secondary-use-of-the-national-health-insurance-database-found-partially-unconstitutional-in-taiwan-constitutional-court-decision
